Right now mine has to be Dave's Insanity Sauce which is really hot, followed by Dave's Garlic Hot Sauce.

Re: Favorite Hot Sauce?
Sat, April 23, 2005 - 8:43 PMBah! I hate favorite threads. Heh, maybe I should start "what's your favorite thread?" or "what's your favorite favorite?".
Dave's uses extracts, which is strictly amateur since hot and flavorless is easy. Skip the filler and go for Demon Ichor or The Source! Pain is Good #37 is wonderfully hot and flavorful if you can get past the carrot base, I'm not as fond of the garlic versions. The new El Yucateco Chile Habanero XXX is quite nice (and cheap!).
However, that being said I use Sriracha the most, Frontera Chipotle is simply divine, and nothing beats a selection of cayenne power in the cabinet ...

Sat, April 23, 2005 - 11:06 PMIf you had to have a hot sauce enema, which brand would you choose?
On a related topic when it comes to chiles, I prefer straight Sambal Oloek. Cha cha cha!

Re: Favorite Hot Sauce?
Fri, April 29, 2005 - 8:33 PMIt's not exactly all-purpose - is ANY hot sauce? - but I've been on a Bufalo-brand chipotle sauce jag for months now. It's not hot, so I occasionally bump it up with sliced serranos, but has a very rich chipotle flavor.
(Sriracha is my breakfast fave at the moment.) -

Re: Favorite Hot Sauce?
Sun, October 30, 2005 - 3:09 PMfor me, hands down it's the scotch bonnet pepper sauce from jamaica.
scotch bonnet peppers are locally grown in jamaica, and the sauce varies in heat but the flavor is soooo good.
also, aji from chile, which in many restaurants in ecuador and chile they prepare fresh each day.
